Strengthening the textile value chain for Africa-focused manufacturing :
African fabrics, products and distribution
Focus Country : Nigeria
The LGK Foundation, in partnership with Afropolitan Consulting and DVC Consultants, is carrying out a sector analysis of the Nigerian textile and fabric sector, to identify what needs to be done to re-establish the sector as a motor for economic growth and employment creation. A series of expert workshops, which bring together Nigerian and international specialists to examine, in turn, each of the issues that will need to be addressed if the sector is to thrive, is currently ongoing. Issues include regulatory reform, capacity-building and market development. More information on the overall project can be found in the project’s Concept Note. The documents for each of the eight sessions of the sector analysis can be found in the table hereunder.
